download Resident Evil : code Veronica X ps2
Code: Veronica X is an upgraded port from the original Dreamcast release of Resident Evil Code: Veronica. It plays the exact same, though it features a couple of added cutscenes--both involving the series sinister villain Albert Wesker--and minor graphical updates. Code: Veronica X is viewed as the 'true' rendition of the game and is the version that has been ported over to the Gamecube, and the version that underwent the HD treatment with the Resident Evil Revival Collection alongside Resident Evil 4. Steve Burnside also had a redone hairstyle for his appearance in Veronica X.
Gameplay
Much like previous main Resident Evil entries, Code: Veronica X mixes in third-person combat, exploration and puzzle solving. Like Resident Evil 3, Code: Veronica still only has the one storyline. However, now it is split between two protagonists--siblings Claire and Chris Redfield--with the first half starring Claire, and the second primarily starring Chris.
The combat still confines the player to stay stuck to the ground when firing their weapon, however, and the notorious tank controls are still evident. The puzzles were made to be somewhat harder, though are still relatively easy by general standards. Both the playable protagonists Claire and Chris can now find and utilise dual-wielding weapons, such as Uzis, which they can use to aim at two enemies simultaneously.
Code: Veronica also marks the first time that the series brings forth full 3D environments for the main entries of the series over the pre-rendered backgrounds during the Playstation 1 era. Veronica X is also much lengthier than previous games--which commonly took up an average of 3-5 hours to complete--and would usually take on average around 8-12 hours for a players first playthrough. This is at the expense of having only a single story, however, like Resident Evil 3 instead of the intertwining stories akin to Resident Evil 2, or the mildly differing takes of the same story ala Resident Evil. Saving is still done by finding one of the many typewriters littered throughout the game, and still require the player has at least one ink ribbon item to save. What is new, though, is should the player die the game will allow them to reload their latest save from the ''Death'' screen, rather than having to head back to the main menu.
Veronica did still make a few steps back, however. A lot of the gameplay updates from Resident Evil 3 weren't applicable--because they were both developed at the same time causing a dissonance between the two--such as players being able to create their own ammo, and the dodge maneuver. More noticeable is the fact that walking up/down staircases is once more automated and can't be performed manually. This could result in some minor annoyance since if a zombie was to be walking up the stairs (and vice versa), players would then have to wait for it to reach the top to proceed down
While significantly more minor, zombies heads wouldn't explode like in previous Resident Evils. When shot with a magnum, or a close range shotgun blast to the head, the zombie's head would gush out blood, but would still stay intact.
